What information do we collect?


We only collect the information we need to fulfill any service requests and submissions that you make and to analyse site usage information, from cookies and log files.

Email a Friend
When you select to 'Email a Friend' (sending event information to a friend), we ask for your and your friends email addresses and names. This information is used simply to enable us to fulfill your request and so that the person you're sending the information to knows who sent it. We do not store or maintain information obtained through this facility.

Newsletter Sign-up
In order to process your registration and in order to send out the email newsletters, we require your name and your email address along with your event category selection. This information is stored securely and is (like all of the other information we collect) never shared with any third parties. If at any time you choose to unsubscribe from the Plug and Play, your information is deleted from our records.

Event Submission
When you submit an event, we collect two types of information: personal and public. Personal information includes your name, email address and message for the administrator. This information is not made public or shared and is only ever used to process your event submission. The other information we collect is made publicly available and includes all of the event information, venue and location details as well as contact details for the event organiser. If you are putting someone else's contact details as the event organiser please obtain their permission first and make sure that they are aware their information will be made public. Feedback


We welcome your feedback. If you send an email or letter to us, asking for information, we may need to contact agencies and organisations to find that information. If your question is technical, we may need to pass it to our technology suppliers.

We do not pass on any of your personal information when dealing with your enquiry, unless you have given us permission to do so. Once we have replied to you, we keep a record of your message for six months for reference and audit purposes, after which it is deleted.

Site usage information


Cookies
Cookies are pieces of data that are often created when you visit a website, and which are stored in the cookie directory of your computer. A number of cookies are created when you visit the Plug and Play website in order to enable personalisation of the search facility and the ability to set favourite categories and locations from which to display events.The cookies do not contain any personal information about you, and they cannot be used to identify an individual user.

Please note that if you do set your browser not to accept cookies many of the enchanced features may not work correctly.

Log files
Log files allow us to record visitors' use of the site. The web teams analyse the log file information from all our visitors. We use this information to make changes to the layout of the website and to the information in it.

Log files do not contain any personal information and they are not used to identify any individual patterns of use of the site.

What happens when I link to another site?


Across the Plug and Play website you will find a large number of links to other sites. These sites are not owned, managed or controlled by Plug and Play and we never pass on your personal details to any other site owner, administrator or site system.
