Tae Kwon-Do is the Korean art of self-defence, one of Britain's fastest growing martial arts. It is known for its superb kicking techniques and, used alongside traditional punching and blocking, it provides an all round system of self-defence.
At Upton School of Tae Kwon-Do you can lean from age 7 years upwards in mixed adult/junior classes divided into skill level.
Learning a martial art is a personal journey - not everyone will be the next Olympic Champion, nor do they want to be. At Upton TKD we concentrate on helping children and adults develop all round ability in a structured but fun environment. Classes are taught by a qualified Instructor, fully insured and CRB checked. Training takes place in a matted hall (the Dojang) with a wide variety of kick shields, focus pads, and target paddles available to use during training.
Training is held twice a week - on a Wednesday evening, 7pm-8pm for all students, and on a Sunday evening, 6pm-7pm for Beginners and Junior Belts, 7pm-8pm for Senior Belts.
