Snoezelen aims to create an atmosphere of trust and relaxation through pleasurable sensory experiences. When you enter Snoezelen everything you see, hear, smell and touch is designed to stimulatean active response, encouraging a feeling of being in control of your own environment and being able to explore at your own pace.

Exciting and varied effects are created using projected images, fibre optics, bubble tubes, tactile objects and gentle music.

A Jacuzzi in the Hydrotherapy Room can be a profoundly soothing experience: the warn comfort of bubbling water on the skin, soft pressure of the jets and physical contact of the carer make this a real treat for many people. There is a pool side hoist to aid access for everyone.

The White Room is true "Snoezelen", total relaxation on a warm bed with glowing fibre optics, gentle bubble tubes and soft music.

An additional "Snoezelen" area is provided in the Blue Room which has similar equipment but is smaller, and more suitable for individuals and small groups.

The Softplay Room encourages safe play and adventure with opportunities for clambering, hiding and sliding in the ball pool.

Tactile Corridors provide a wide range of auditory and tactile rewardsfrom the touch of various interactive panels and lead to play areas full of sensory surprises including a vibrating chair in the ever popular BLue Alcove.

The cosy Little Room is especially for those who need privacy and want time on their own to relax, maybe enjoy some massage on a warm water bed, and watch a variety of visual images. There is also a small Video Room with a selection of DVDs and videos available for viewing.

The exciting interactive Star Tunnel is a dark space where you are surrounded by twinkling fibre optic stars and shining UV shapes. An experience not to be missed!

The Sensory Garden is a lovely area for drinks or picnics and everyone is more than welcome to come and spend some time here. You can swing gently in the hammock, watch a restful water feature or just relax and enjoy the scents and textures.

Tea, coffee and squash are available and there is a microwave available. £4.80 per hour relates to one person. Special rates are available for groups.
