POW! Funding - What's it all about?

POW! Funding Scheme

Sometimes you might get bored and have nothing to do. There are lots of things going on in your area that we think you might like to do, but can't afford to. POW is a new idea to help children and young people have a chance to try new things and have fun at the same time.

How do I know if I can get POW money?

POW money is for children and young people whose families may find it difficult to pay for activities or who are in care.

Your school will be able to tell you if you can have POW money (you will get it if you have free school meals). Your school will also be able to give you more information on how to spend it.

Most importantly, YOU need to decide which activities you spend your POW money on. These activities can be offered by school, leisure centres or clubs. Log on to Plug and Play and find out what other activities you can try.

If you want your parent or carer to help you choose your activities, get them to call the Family Information Service on 01905 790560 or email familyinfo@worcestershire.gov.uk and they will be able to help.
